Family and Friends
The choice of a college is often a family decision. Family support during college years improves retention and academic performance. Family commitment to compliance underpins institutional control and is critical for building a successful and honest athletic program.

Comptix is a tool to help your school build a superior compliance program. This starts with providing convenient and high-quality services to student-athletes, their families and friends.

Interactive Test Drive and Tutorial
Read these instructions carefully. This demo uses the 2006-2007 software. The roster upload and, some reporting and administrative features have been removed or disabled. Most options are self-explanatory.

You are sharing the demo with other visitors, so please be courteous and update only your own fictitious player data. Federal laws prohibit the use of actual student information. As with all software, foolish acts may yield unpredictable and undesirable results. Use the software as you would in a real world situation.

Comptix is highly configurable. This demo uses one particular configuration which may or may not match your school's policies and conference's regulations. There is no setup charge associated with modelling your campus' and/or conference's rules into your Comptix services. Please request custom configuration service for Fall 2007 service no later than May 15 to allow sufficient time for fine-tuning and quality assurance.

Getting Started
Each school that uses Comptix has its own public Comptix home page. This page can provide Student-Athletes and their families with general information as well as educate boosters who may "drop in" to learn about compliance issues.

At top of the menu column on each public page, the LOGIN AS box allows student-athletes' and their families, as well as school compliance officers and ticket managers to monitor and control.

To begin, select LOGIN AS "Staff"

Enter the Test Drive userid and password issued to you.
[REQUEST TEST DRIVE USERID]

After you have created a student-athlete record, you may then select LOGIN AS "Student-Athlete" from the Test Drive home page. Student-Athletes may enter family and friends. One trusted and technically savvy family member (usually a parent) with internet access may be selected as a family captain to help gather and enter necessary information.

Players should not be forced to select a family captain as this may violate federal education privacy restrictions.

Family captains must login with email addresses that match those entered by the student-athletes.
